The Testing Kitchen is a collaborative effort between the College of Innovation and Design and the Department of Health and Human Performance. On the third Tuesday of each month, Dr. Quynh Dang (Interim Director of First-Year TRAC) along with a campus CIP will prepare a healthy meal using minimal ingredients that those with few cooking skills can replicate. Although the cooking will take place in the new facilities in the Nursing Health Sciences Building, the sessions will be broadcast live through facebook for public viewing. The testing kitchen is aimed for college students who may have limited cooking experience, or those who want to be able to prepare their own meals but have limited access to kitchen resources.
In future semesters students will be able to attend in person and sample the food created.
