Percussion Ensembles

The A&M-Commerce Percussion Ensemble has performed at state and international conventions including PASIC, TMEA and CBDNA. We were one of the 2010 PAS International Percussion Ensemble Competition winners and also won this competition in 2000. We have recorded three CD’s: Epic Proportions, New and Unknown Percussion Works of Minoru Miki, and Phage. These groups perform a wide variety of pieces including standard percussion ensemble works, contemporary literature, keyboard ensembles, rags, classical transcriptions, jazz, and pop arrangements. They usually give one concert in the fall and two concerts in the spring semester, in addition to various run-out concerts in the DFW area.
