OpenEd Week: Boosting Student Success with Open Educational Resources (OER)

In recognition of OpenEd Week 2023, Waters Library is excited to welcome Cheryl Casey as a guest speaker on Open Educational Resources (OER).

This session will introduce attendees to OER, which are free to use, share, and customize. You’ll learn how to incorporate OER into instruction and engage students through open pedagogy. We'll explore how OER benefits faculty and students and advances the university's strategic goals and priorities. You'll leave with a wealth of resources.

Cheryl (Cuillier) Casey is the Open Education Librarian at the University of Arizona Libraries, where she has led open educational resource (OER) initiatives since 2014. She is a trainer for the Open Education Network (OEN) and is beginning her 5th year as an instructor for the OEN's Certificate in OER Librarianship.
