Congratulations, Crystal Hardeman-Ikem!
October Employee of the Month –
The Office of Intercultural Engagement and Leadership, Director.
I am nominating Mrs. Crystal Hardeman-Ikem because she exemplifies excellence on a daily basis in her quest to establish a safe space for students in order to contribute to the success of the mission of the university. I am now a graduate student, and even when I was in undergad, I noticed how Mrs. Crystal ALWAYS welcomed students into her office to talk about personal and professional ways to enhance the student learning experience. She is literally a ball of sunshine, and her lively spirit follows her into any and every setting. She encourages us to take advantage of the services provided to us by the university, and she even attends and participates in university events that are facilitated by faculty/staff, as well as students. She has greatly managed to take over an entire office, as she was promoted to Director only this summer, has already made the space welcoming and open to the university, and has continued programming that is tailored to make students of all identities feel included and equal across the board. She emphasizes the importance of getting a college degree and represents TAMUC on and off campus. She deserves recognition for her efforts, so I would like you all to help me, and so many other people recognize her for her dedication to making TAMUC a great place!
Staff Employee of the Month!
Faculty, staff and students can nominate outstanding staff members each month for recognition by the Staff Council.
