Starting Friday, February 7 at noon, the Morris Recreation Center will open a new temporary entrance due to the phase 1 expansion construction. The building will be closed until noon that day to prepare the new entrance.

The new access point will ensure that visitors can continue using the facility without disruption. Signs will be posted to guide patrons, and we encourage all to follow the updated directions for easy access. The temporary entrance will remain in place until Fall 2025.

Navigating the new temporary MRC entrance:

• To enter the MRC, please use the door located on the second deck of the weight room area on the southwest side of the MRC (this is located alongside the big glass windows facing the frontage road)
• Patrons are still required to swipe/scan into the Morris Recreation Center when they enter.
• Equipment check-out will be located by the free weight area.
• To exit the MRC, please use the free-weight area to exit the building.
• Follow posted signs for alternative routes and updates.
• The MRC Turf field will also have an alternate route so stay tuned.

During this time, we will do our best to minimize disruptions and provide wayfinding and alternate options wherever possible. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to create a better facility for everyone.
