Mental Health Matters Day Fall 2019 Featuring Global Humanitarian Alex Sheen

A&M-Commerce continues to prioritize mental well-being as a campus initiative. This year will feature a keynote presentation by Alex Sheen, founder of the global Because I Said I Would movement, a panel discussion, suicide prevention training opportunities and other events.

I certainly wish I could be there. We need to be aware of those in our environment and watch for them. If they have been down for a while, simply ask how they are doing and listen. Have cup with them. I recently completed the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training because one never knows who might need some help.
