#CHSSAMarcelo Brodsky is an internationally renowned photographer, visual artist and human rights activist. A native of Argentina, Brodsky was exiled to Spain during Argentina’s brutal military dictatorship in the 1970s-1980s. His art works combine text and images, focusing on the intersections between installation, performance, photography, monument and memorials. The subject matter of Brodsky’s work spans the globe, from the civil rights and Black Lives Matter movements in the United States, to the struggle for human rights in Argentina, for freedom in Myanmar and restorative justice for the victims of genocide in German Southwest Africa (Namibia), among many other examples. His works have been displayed in prestigious venues such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Tate Gallery in London, Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, among many others around the world.
