In this workshop we will look at recommendations for writing strong Student Learning Outcomes or Goal statements for assessment. We will discuss how to create statements that are observable and measurable as well as how they can represent what students are able to demonstrate in terms of knowledge, skills and attitude upon completion of our academic program or additional impacts and quality improvements we want to see in the work of our support unit. Additionally, we will discuss what to consider when selecting an assessment method and how to set a standard of success.
