I Just Googled It: How to Use the Web for Your Research

Wednesdays @ Waters Library presents "I Just Googled It: How to Use the Web for Your Research."

Conducting research but not finding what you need through the library databases? Don’t rule out your web resources. While it is true that you shouldn’t trust everything you read on the internet, there are still reputable websites that will give you information that you may not find in a research database. This workshop will show you how to find reputable websites and learn about the type of information you can get from them.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Determine if web sources and reputable and useful for research
  • Search for and use reputable websites such as .govs and .orgs to find information unavailable in library databases
