Guest Flutist: Won Lee

Won Lee, born in Seoul, South Korea, is currently a doctoral student at the University of North Texas. He is the first-prize winner of Chicago Flute Club Solo Artist Competition, Mid-South Flute Society Young Artist Competition and second-prize winner of the Myrna Brown Artist Competition.

Mr. Lee participated in the Music Academy of the West 2018 as their flute fellow and Brevard Music Festival 2012 as their flute fellow and teaching assistant. He was an associate member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and a semifinalist of the New World Symphony. He has also performed with the Abilene Philharmonic, Dallas Wind Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, Round Rock Symphony and San Francisco Contemporary Players. His principal teachers include Timothy Day, Marianne Gedigian, Marina Piccinini, James Scott, Monica Song and Terri Sundberg.
