The Graduate Assistant Research candidate will assist faculty with research projects that they are either currently involved in or proposing. The Graduate Assistant can expect to gain the following skills and knowledge through this role: publication/grant writing, research methodologies, time management, analytical thinking and specific field knowledge.

General Duties: Assist current full-time faculty with data collection, literature review, data analysis (M&S), statistical analysis, paper writing and proposal writing.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement research ideas as guided by the advisor.
  • Assist in writing technical papers, journals and conferences.
  • Assist in writing technical proposals to seek external funding.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field.
  • Pursuing MSC degree in computer science or applied mathematics.
  • Strong background in mathematics and especially in linear algebra.
  • Strong background in simulation software such as MATLAB and LABVIEW.
