Gender Studies Book Club

In 1964, the murder of a young woman led to a fundamental shift in policing and in the way America dealt with crime. Come talk about that case with the Spring 2023 Gender Studies Book Club.  As part of Social Justice Week (February 20-24), the Gender Studies Book Club will meet on Monday, February 20 at 3:00pm at MUGS on the Square, to discuss Kitty Genovese: The Murder, the Bystanders, the Crime that Changed America. Our discussion will be led by Dr. Emily Homer, Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice, and FREE copies of the book are available in the Student Center Bookstore (so go get one and come join the discussion).  Refreshments provided. Try to read the book first, but come to join the discussion regardless.
