Are you ready for a rigorous adventure? Can you carry a backpack weighing up to 45 pounds up and down steep mountains for over 10 miles? Then do we have the trip for you! Come follow the Outdoor Adventure program into the Ouachita Wilderness. The Ouachita National Forest is home to beautiful mountain top views, freezing river crossing, waterfalls, and the comfort of being miles away from civilization. Cost of the trip is $20 for students/members. This cost includes round trip transportation, food while not on the road, backpacking/camping gear, and access fees. Registration opens 11/15/2019 @ 3 p.m.
*In order to go on this trip you must attend the pre-trip meeting on 12/3/2019 from 4-6 p.m. or 1/14/20 from 3-5 p.m. You must also pass a physical fitness test. In order to pass the test, you must walk on a treadmill at 3 mph at a 15 degree incline for 30 minutes without stopping.
