Are you curious about the world of backpacking? Then let OA show you the way. This backpacking program trip will consist of regular backpacking classes throughout the semester which will then lead to us backpacking through the Ouachita national forest. The classes will be one to two hours long and will have an educational component followed by a physical activity that will prepare you for the end-of-semester trip. The classes are going to be worked around all the trip participants' schedules, we will find a common time that we all can meet either every week or every other week. The Eagle rock loop is 28 miles long and has a good amount of elevation change, so this trip will require a good deal of physical stamina to accomplish it. If you have any questions on this program please email kellen.dion@tamuc.edu.
